A Higher Equillibrium

November 21, 2009 · 3 Comments

Then comes confusion
then comes clarity
every state of flux and struggle
leads to a greater equillibrium

an understanding that is higher
a step that is closer to the destination

this process accelerated by conscious effort
guided by divine grace

from confusion to clarity
to confusion again

life challenges the spirit to expand,
to cleanse and refine its being

from itself to itself the journey it makes
having passed the paths of a million lifetimes

the burdens, the triumphs, the pain and illusions it carries
I struggle to shed them all
the layers clouding my spirit
I seek to purge them all

from myself to myself this journey I make
painful, confused, scared and lost sometimes
sought what to seek till I sought what it is I sought
I seek what I sought with renewed vigour and faith

from myself to myself I have travelled the journey of lifetimes
I now want to go back to where it all began

I seek myself to come back home to myself

I seek myself to go back to myself

The attraction mutual

the separation distressing and

the journey compelling

I  go home to myself to complete myself and my journey of a million lifetimes.

Love, Reflection, Life

September 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Closure is about completing it anyway. This does not mean to forgive or forget, that is not what it is to release.  The act of releasing is our readiness to heal. Only after the experience has cleared can healing occur.

Love is the energy that helps us to heal, whether we give this love to ourselves, or we receive it from another.

When we look at having loving relationships in our life, why not start with ourself? Because that is where love comes from. This is what transforms our relationships and our lives. We must love the self first. And we cannot do that until we have healed and become whole.

I think I wrote this, only I am not too sure. (I am pulling this stuff out of drafts, saved long ago)

‘mangoon mai kya kisi se, koi dega kya mujhe… deta hai dast-e-gaib se mera khuda mujhe… parwardigaar tu hi bada karsaaz hai, tere siva kisi se nahin aasra mujhe…. ‘

what do I ask of anybody, what does the world have to offer me…my god gives me what he thinks I deserve from his invisible hand…o protector nourisher master…u r a great facilitator/provider… other than you I have no shelter/refuge….

Was dusting some cobwebs (in my mind) when I came across these lines I had saved long ago.

Value Based Leadership

“Leading with values is important for the new generation of employees, for finding innovations in underserved markets, and for getting respect from the public and favourable treatment from government.”

I read the above extract from an article this morning and wanted to share it.

Passing the Verdict

August 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I have heard people say that you need to have an opinion on everything. I don’t quite know about that. I do think that we need to consider and contemplate over a lot of things. Only I think we are too quick to judge for or against someone/ something.

I think we need to be more open and have more faith in the inherent goodness of people. Maybe our underlying premises about the ‘goodness,’ ‘badness,’ ‘meaness,’ of people makes us judge the way we do; sometimes we don’t question existing opions and perceptions thats all.

I think we need to be more open and give people a chance. Even if someone has made a mistake, so what? so long as it was a genuine mistake and the person is willing to change/grow/move on. Why do we find it so difficult to give someone a chance?

Do I believe that there are no absolute right and wrongs? Ofcourse I think there are however, I am also realizing that much of life happens in the shades of grey.

Note: Spewed hastily in the early hours of a busy day, sort of like I had to get this load off before I could get anything else done. Au revoir.

To be or Not to be

When the structures are so rigid that they defeat the very purpose they
were built for, you wonder whats happening.

Rules, guidelines, discipline are well and good so long as they help you
perform and deliver better. Once they start getting in the way, you have a
problem.

‘Human life is the expression of one’s thoughts.’

This seemingly simple statement is quite profound in the realization that we can change our lives by changing our thoughts. Also we can examine our thoughts by examining our lives.
